Abattoir Gallery is pleased to present New Work by Natalie Petrosky, an exhibition of new paintings by the artist. Petrosky’s work is characterized by her use of vintage patterned fabric collaged into mosaic-like configurations. She draws from a variety of source material often rooted in folklore, most recently incorporating images from retro coloring books of Greek mythology. Petrosky likens her practice to working in a garden; a meditative act of collecting, clipping, and attempting to tame the unpredictable forces at work in her painting process.
